For many, including myself, it’s hard to believe the holiday season is already upon us. In just a few short hours, we will be gathered with friends and family to celebrate Thanksgiving! This special holiday is about more than just food, football, and a good nap on the couch. As the name implies, it is a day of giving thanks and showing gratitude.
At Eastwood Homes, we have many reasons to be thankful, not just on Thanksgiving, but throughout the entire year. As a home builder, we are in one of the most rewarding businesses- the business of helping people find their dream homes. We have an opportunity every day to help someone change their life for the better and what could be more rewarding? Our team is made up of dedicated, passionate people who truly love what they do and we are led by a generous, caring father and son team, Joe and Clark Stewart.
During this time of year, our message “Built with Care” resonates more than ever. Building homes is so much bigger than Eastwood – it’s about real families investing in their future. There is no greater compliment we could receive than a future homeowner trusting us to build their new home. We know a home is more than bricks and sticks- it’s a haven, a place to raise a family, and make memories- a place to seek shelter and enjoy all the finest moments life has to offer. Thank you to all of our homeowners for traveling on the journey of homeownership with us! We truly appreciate you.
In addition to being thankful for an amazing team and valued homeowners, we are also humbled by the accolades our company has received this year. Earlier this year, we were honored to receive the Builder of the Year designation from the Home Builders Association of Charlotte. This coveted recognition is awarded annually to a company that excels in all facets of the home building industry.
In October, we were also named one of the Top 100 Privately Held Businesses in North Carolina by Grant Thornton. The yearly list recognizes the tenacity, grit, staying power, and business acumen required to be among the 100 largest privately-held businesses in the state. In 2014, Eastwood Homes was honored in the 52nd position. This year, we were honored as No. 40!
If that wasn’t enough to leave us awe-struck, we received yet another honor this past week. The Charlotte Business Journal named Eastwood Homes a Best Place to Work in Charlotte! Out of over 700 entries and 70 finalists, Eastwood Homes was ranked the No. 6 Best Place to Work. We’re in the Top 10 and that’s truly something to celebrate!
“A company is only as good as its people and I believe the NC100, Builder of the Year, and Best Places to Work recognitions help to show that we’ve got an amazing team of employees here at Eastwood,” said owner Clark Stewart in an email to his employees. “Cherish these honors because it’s your hard work and dedication that made us what we are! Truly, thank you.”
As employees of the Stewarts, we are truly thankful, too, to work for such a great family and company. As YOU prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday, we wanted to share a special family recipe from the home of the Stewarts. Myra Stewart, wife to Joe Stewart and mother of Clark Stewart was kind enough to share a Thanksgiving favorite from the Stewart home.
Happy Thanksgiving from our Eastwood Homes family to yours!
