We have consistently held a place amongst the ranks of homebuilders both privately held and publicly traded. We like to think our competitive advantage is that we are locally owned and operated and have been since 1977!
Our founder, Joe Stewart, is a Carolina native himself and truly understands the Carolina lifestyle- you’ll find many homes are built for enjoying the beautiful Southeast climate with double porches, sunrooms, and screened porches.
From the very beginning, it was Joe’s dream to build homes of exceptional value and outstanding craftsmanship while delivering unparalleled customer service. While many things have changed over our 40 years in business, our mission has remained the same. Now with 15,000+ happy homeowners, six flourishing divisions, and 40 years in business under our belts, we are ready to further our growth in the Southeast!
With the acquisition of Fortress Homes, we are excited to announce that Eastwood Homes will be building in Columbia, SC!
The acquisition is a first for Eastwood and we are more than equipped to begin this new chapter! Fortress Homes is an industry-recognized leader in new home construction with a broad range of product offerings, much like Eastwood, including ranch-style homes, main-level primary suites, and two-and-three story homes.
In 2017 the company is expected to close nearly 200 homes, adding to the list of Eastwood closings at approximately 1,000+ homes per year. The company has a long-standing, strong reputation in the market, which will strengthen our footprint in the Southeast region.
Like Eastwood, Fortress Homes operates a fully-functioning design studio, where you can personalize your new home with your choice of exterior color schemes, hardwood flooring, granite countertops, bedroom lighting, and much more!
So, what does this all mean for Eastwood Homes?
"This partnership builds upon Eastwood’s commitment to offering exceptional value and outstanding craftsmanship while delivering unparalleled customer service. The acquisition allows us to build upon our strong South Carolina foothold and adds well-positioned opportunities to our market reach. We’re excited to bring their enthusiastic team on board to continue to build upon and enhance our Built with Care philosophy!” according to Clark Stewart, President of Eastwood Homes.
Thanks to the dedicated management and employee teams at both Eastwood Homes and Fortress Builders, the acquisition has gotten off to a steady start.
We are confident this merger will continue smoothly with both founder, Joe, and his son, Clark, at the helm. Please help us welcome Fortress Homes into the family! Stay tuned as we keep you up-to-date on this new Eastwood Homes journey!
If you’re an avid follower of our blog or any of our social media accounts, you know by now that every day is a rewarding day at Eastwood Homes. We truly love our jobs (if you can even call them that?) and take the great pride in what we do. We’re passionate and truly feel a connection to the customers we serve, the neighborhoods we build, and communities that allow us the opportunity to grow. Last week, we had an experience unlike any other and had to take a moment to share.
If you are in the market for a new home, you have a huge opportunity to be considerate of your planetary home sweet home by shopping for a house that is built with energy efficiency in mind. To celebrate Earth Day 2017, we explain how to use a HERS rating to determine exactly how "green" that new home is!
Although born from the family classic, The Wizard of Oz, There’s No Place Like Home is a quote that rings true in almost every movie! As a home builder, we are particularly in touch with the style of homes seen in movies as it is hard not to compare every home to the Craftsman style we build here at Eastwood Homes! In honor of the upcoming 89th Academy Awards, we want to highlight some of our favorite homes from famous movies and share how you can personalize your Eastwood home to capture those designs. After all, the home doesn’t have to be made in Hollywood to be a star!
