RALEIGH, NC- October 13, 2016 – Residential home builder, Eastwood Homes was recognized with Gold Awards at the Home Builders Association of Durham’s 51st Annual Parade of Homes awards presentation on Tuesday evening, October 4th. The annual Triangle Parade of Homes, N.C.’s largest open house, took place the first three weekends in October and featured more than 250 new homes from builders across the Triangle region.
The Eastwood Homes’ townhome model and single-family model in the community of Hope Valley Ridge in Durham were each recognized with a Gold award for a floor plan priced $185,000-$255,000 (the Ashland townhome plan) and $400,000-$439,000 (the Drexel single family plan). The Drexel is a spacious, family-friendly plan that is versatile to fit every buyer’s needs. The popular plan can be built to include five bedrooms, one of which is an optional third-floor full bed and bath, and up to three and a half bathrooms. Mike Lindsay, the onsite New Home Specialist at Hope Valley Ridge commented on the Drexel, “The Drexel plan is well received because of the tremendous amount of flexible options that it offers. Our buyers love the large kitchen, the 3rd-floor bonus room, the spacious great room, and the luxurious master bedroom. Eastwood didn’t miss any of the details in this beautiful plan.”
Representatives from Eastwood Homes were particularly pleased the townhome model was recognized, as the Ashland is a fairly new design introduced to the market in the spring of 2016. This model at Hope Valley Ridge is the first version of the plan ever built by Eastwood Homes in Raleigh. Eastwood Homes Vice-President of Sales for the Raleigh Division, Jim Cox, commented on the accolades, “We are honored to have been recognized with a gold award for our Ashland plan at Hope Valley Ridge during the 2016 Parade of Homes. We worked very hard to design a versatile and spacious townhome floor plan to suit the needs of our buyers. We are also proud of the recognition received by our beautiful Drexel model. This award is particularly cherished due to the competitive nature of the $400,000-$439,000 price point category.”
In addition to Hope Valley Ridge, the Drexel can be built in several other Triangle area communities including Honeycutt Landing in Willow Spring, NC. Both communities, Honeycutt Landing and Hope Valley Ridge, have a showcase home featuring the Drexel floor plan available for immediate move-in.

The Richmond Division of Eastwood Homes is pleased to support a local Petersburg veteran by donating a newly built ramp to improve mobility. Last month, Channel 12 On Your Side featured 74-year-old widow and Army veteran, Rowena Carter, reporting on her battle to leave her own home each day. Due to poor leg circulation and an injured knee, Carter struggled to walk up and down her own porch steps. Her fellow veterans in the Richmond area called 12 On Your Side to share her struggles with the community and request help on her behalf. The Richmond team of Eastwood Homes caught wind of the request and jumped at the opportunity to support the Petersburg veteran.
Eastwood Homes was named one of the top 100 privately held companies in North Carolina by Grant Thornton, LLP for the fourth consecutive year. The list of companies, published in the October 2016 issue of Business North Carolina Magazine, highlights only privately held businesses. Eastwood Homes holds the 41st position, which is a significant gain over their 2014 ranking in the 52nd position.
