RALEIGH, NC- October 13, 2016 – Residential home builder, Eastwood Homes was recognized with Gold Awards at the Home Builders Association of Durham’s 51st Annual Parade of Homes awards presentation on Tuesday evening, October 4th. The annual Triangle Parade of Homes, N.C.’s largest open house, took place the first three weekends in October and featured more than 250 new homes from builders across the Triangle region.
The Eastwood Homes’ townhome model and single-family model in the community of Hope Valley Ridge in Durham were each recognized with a Gold award for a floor plan priced $185,000-$255,000 (the Ashland townhome plan) and $400,000-$439,000 (the Drexel single family plan). The Drexel is a spacious, family-friendly plan that is versatile to fit every buyer’s needs. The popular plan can be built to include five bedrooms, one of which is an optional third-floor full bed and bath, and up to three and a half bathrooms. The Richmond Division of Eastwood Homes is pleased to support a local Petersburg veteran by donating a newly built ramp to improve mobility. Last month, Channel 12 On Your Side featured 74-year-old widow and Army veteran, Rowena Carter, reporting on her battle to leave her own home each day. Due to poor leg circulation and an injured knee, Carter struggled to walk up and down her own porch steps. Her fellow veterans in the Richmond area called 12 On Your Side to share her struggles with the community and request help on her behalf. The Richmond team of Eastwood Homes caught wind of the request and jumped at the opportunity to support the Petersburg veteran.
