Eastwood Homes hosted its 1st annual Charity Golf Outing on Monday, September 30th, 2013 at Raintree Country Club in Charlotte, NC. Thanks to the support of many sponsors and teams, Eastwood Homes raised more than $56,000 for the Levine Children’s Hospital.
Twenty-nine teams joined Eastwood Homes for the event. Players enjoyed a catered lunch provided by Chick-Fil-A, hole contests including a Hole-In-One Car Giveaway sponsored by Keffer Hyundai, and a longest-drive competition for a flat-screen television, sponsored by Monarch Mortgage. Participants also received complimentary drinks and snacks, gift bags, award packages, and a buffet dinner catered by Best Impressions Catering and sponsored by Keller Williams Ballantyne.
Platinum sponsors for the event included Builders FirstSource, Fifth Third, and Stock Building Supply. Gold Sponsors included Moen and Monarch Mortgage. Carolinas HealthCare and SmartMail provided support as Silver Sponsors. Countless other supporters contributed to the fund-raising efforts of Eastwood Homes.
Eastwood Homes Charlotte Division President Mike Conley, commented, “Thanks to our sponsors, we were not only able to raise money for the Levine Children’s Hospital, but we also had the pleasure of hosting a truly enjoyable golf tournament. In particular, we feel very fortunate that our supporters were able to join us for the tournament. We value the relationships with our vendor partners, and we appreciate their cooperation in our fundraising efforts.”
Lisa Lenhart, Marketing Manager, added “Raintree Country Club was the perfect setting for our group, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather that we were so fortunate to have on Monday. We feel honored to represent Eastwood Homes, a family-owned business that is committed to giving back to the community, and we are proud to support the efforts of the Levine Children’s Hospital. We have every intention to make this tournament an annual Eastwood Homes tradition.”
Eastwood Homes formed a philanthropic partnership with Carolinas HealthCare System and Levine Children’s Hospital in January 2008. The builder donates a portion of the proceeds on each sale to the efforts of the Hospital. Additionally, the company contributes gifts and goodies to patients and their families in the Hospital through the use of the Eastwood Homes’ Hospitality Cart, which circles the patient floors on a daily basis. It is the company’s wish to strengthen its commitment to the partnership with Levine through the proceeds from the Charity Golf Tournament.
