RICHMOND, VA- October 7, 2014 – Residential home builder, Eastwood Homes was recognized with two awards at the Home Builders Association of Richmond (HBAR) Annual
Parade of Homes Breakfast on October 1st. The Parade of Homes takes place from October 4th through October 19th and features more than 70 homes throughout the greater Richmond area.
Representatives from Eastwood Homes were particularly pleased to be recognized, as this year was their first opportunity to be judged during the event. Eastwood Homes Construction Manager, Mike Coyle, commented on the accolades, “I am honored to accept these awards on behalf of Eastwood Homes. We have worked very hard over the past 18 months to establish our name in the Richmond Market, and it’s great to be recognized for our efforts.”
The Eastwood Homes model in the community of Patriots Landing in New Kent was recognized with an award for Best Curb Appeal for a home priced from $451,000 to $500,000. The McDowell plan, which is a spacious master-down plan featuring an additional 3 bedrooms, bonus room, and media room, has been very well received in the Richmond market.
The model home in Magnolia Green in Moseley was recognized with an award for the Best Kitchen for a home priced from $451,000 to $500,000. The plan displayed in Magnolia Green is the Davidson, a very flexible plan offering up to 6 bedrooms. The Davidson is offered in all of Eastwood’s Richmond-area communities. Homebuyers love the spacious kitchen, and the option to add a 3rd-floor bonus room or bedroom suite.
Assisting with the efforts of Eastwood Homes is Cindy Jez, Vice President of New Homes and Regional Marketing for Long & Foster® Real Estate, Inc. Cindy commented, “We are very excited to represent Eastwood Homes in the greater Richmond area. It is even more exciting to see them join the ranks of award-winning builders in Richmond. We knew that they were winners in making the choice to build in central Virginia and having their efforts recognized in the Parade of Homes is a great tribute to their long-standing tradition of quality craftsmanship and design.”
In addition to their communities of Patriots Landing and Magnolia Green, Eastwood Homes is also building in Harpers Mill, located off of Otterdale Road in Moseley, and in Watermark, located in Chesterfield County, where both single-family homes and townhomes are offered. All four communities feature completed inventory homes that are ready for quick move-in.
Although Eastwood is new to Richmond, the builder has a long history and a highly favorable reputation among homebuilders. Eastwood Homes was founded in 1977 by Joseph K. Stewart and remains privately held. The company is consistently named among the top 50 homebuilders nationwide. In addition to its new Richmond Division, Eastwood Homes operates in Charleston and Greenville, South Carolina, and in the Raleigh, Charlotte, and the Greensboro Area in North Carolina.
