To all of our friends (near and far), we wanted to take a moment and share this letter from our owner, Clark Stewart! We hope this encouraging note will give you a true glimpse into the culture of our company. We’re all so thankful to be working for a family-owned business that celebrates our achievements, both company-wide and individually. During this time of Thanksgiving, we are so grateful to be a part of our Eastwood family!
Hello Team,
Happy Thanksgiving!
In the spirit of the season, I wanted to share quick congratulations to all of our divisions for their accomplishments this year. I’m so honored and thankful to work alongside each and every one of you and am continually amazed by the achievements, recognition, and accolades we receive each year.
In the past year, we’ve received MANY distinctions that both Joe and I are so incredibly proud of. Nationally, Eastwood Homes was ranked as the 44th largest builder in the country by Builder Magazine. It’s an achievement we should be particularly honored by as we’re ranked amongst builders from all over the country (both national and regional) while our footprint is predominantly in the Southeast- what an accomplishment! Additionally, we were recently named as #41 on Grant Thornton’s Top 100 Largest Privately-Held Businesses in North Carolina list! Again, this is something we all should celebrate as every division’s achievements were involved in helping us receive recognition on this list.
In addition to the honors listed above, on Thursday evening, Eastwood Homes was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as being the #5 Best Place to Work in the area! This ranking was based on anonymous surveys from Corporate and Charlotte employees so it’s true testament to the environment we’re fortunate to work in each and every day, especially because there were over 700 entries and 50+ finalists! I hope this recognition is felt throughout all divisions as I truly believe Eastwood Homes is a BEST PLACE TO WORK and hope you would agree.
In 2016, many of our divisions also participated in awards ceremonies recognizing our company and team members for a job well done!
Last and certainly not least, Eastwood Homes also celebrated closing its 15,000th home this year! WOW.
Again, I want to simply take a moment to thank you for your support and dedication to Eastwood Homes. It’s our people that truly make us great.
Let’s stay strong and continue to make one another proud throughout the remainder of 2016 and in 2017!
J. Clark Stewart

The Corriher family recently moved into their new Eastwood Home in Walnut Creek. During the build, they relied on a new app being used by our team that allowed them to stay up to date on the progress of their home while they were living five hours away.
The Richmond Division of Eastwood Homes is pleased to support a local Petersburg veteran by donating a newly built ramp to improve mobility. Last month, Channel 12 On Your Side featured 74-year-old widow and Army veteran, Rowena Carter, reporting on her battle to leave her own home each day. Due to poor leg circulation and an injured knee, Carter struggled to walk up and down her own porch steps. Her fellow veterans in the Richmond area called 12 On Your Side to share her struggles with the community and request help on her behalf. The Richmond team of Eastwood Homes caught wind of the request and jumped at the opportunity to support the Petersburg veteran.
Eastwood Homes was named one of the top 100 privately held companies in North Carolina by Grant Thornton, LLP for the fourth consecutive year. The list of companies, published in the October 2016 issue of Business North Carolina Magazine, highlights only privately held businesses. Eastwood Homes holds the 41st position, which is a significant gain over their 2014 ranking in the 52nd position.
